1️ Voluntary Access & Free Will Declaration

Voluntary Participation & Free Consent

By accessing, registering on, or using Mera Rishta (“Platform”), you expressly declare, confirm, and acknowledge that:

• You have accessed the Platform voluntarily, of your own free will, and without any coercion, inducement, pressure, or force from Mera Rishta, its owners, employees, partners, agents, or any third party.
• You are legally competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
• Your use of the Platform is purely for personal matrimonial purposes and not for any unlawful, commercial, or fraudulent activity.

Mera Rishta does not solicit, compel, or mandate any individual to register, upload any information or communicate with members, or proceed with any matrimonial decision.

 

2️ Voluntary Data Submission & Lawful Consent (IT Act Compliant)

User Data Upload & Consent Declaration

You expressly agree and confirm that:

• All personal information, sensitive personal data, photographs, and preferences are submitted voluntarily.
• You provide free, informed, specific, and unambiguous consent as required under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.
• You have full legal authority to upload your own data.
• If you upload data on behalf of another individual (including a family member), you confirm that you have obtained their prior explicit consent, and you accept full responsibility for the same.

Mera Rishta shall not be liable for unauthorized, incorrect, or misleading data uploaded by users.

 

3️ No Force, No Obligation & Absolute Choice

Freedom of Interaction & Decision-Making

You acknowledge and agree that:

• Registration on the Platform does not create any obligation to accept, respond to, communicate with, or marry any member.
• You are free to accept, reject, ignore, block, or report any profile or communication.
• All matrimonial decisions are taken independently by you / your family member.

Mera Rishta does not influence, recommend, negotiate, or finalize any matrimonial alliance.

 

4️ Independent Decision & Personal Responsibility Clause

User Responsibility Acknowledgement

You expressly acknowledge that:

• You are acting in an independent capacity, exercising personal judgment.
• Any interaction, communication, meeting, engagement, or marriage decision is undertaken entirely at your own risk.
• Mera Rishta shall not be responsible for:
• User conduct
• Misrepresentation
• Emotional, financial, social, or personal damages
• Disputes, harassment, fraud, or criminal acts by users

Users are advised to conduct their own verification and due diligence.

 

5️ Platform Status Disclaimer

Intermediary Status Under Indian Law

Mera Rishta operates as an online intermediary under Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Accordingly:

• The Platform merely provides access to a digital space for users to connect.
• Mera Rishta does not control or endorse user content or behavior.
• Liability is limited as per applicable Indian laws.

 

6️ Right to Withdraw & Account Termination

User Exit Rights

• You may discontinue use of the Platform at any time without providing any reason.
• You may request account deletion as per our Privacy Policy.
• Paid subscriptions remain governed by the No-Refund Policy, unless legally mandated otherwise.

 

7️ Legal Jurisdiction & Governing Law

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India.

All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in Miraj-sangli District, (Maharashtra) Country India.

13 Service Usage Policy

Prohibited Use
